Ropes Crossing is a fully masterplanned community and the first village of Lend Lease’s St Marys Project.

Nestled around a 900 hectare Regional Park, Ropes Crossing has been carefully designed with a balance of homes, shops, schools, parks, hike & bike trails and other community resources and facilities to create an intimate village atmosphere.


Ropes Crossing will cover 161 hectares upon completion comprising of approximately 2200 homes and 6000 residents. 

Open Space and Recreation

Upon completion there will be a total of 16 parks, playgrounds and sporting fields

  • Currently 9 parks and playgrounds open to the public
  • Over 25km of hike & bike paths will be developed, with approx 7km developed already
  • $3.7million Ropes Crossing Village Oval – a flood lit and irrigated multi-purpose playing field, two tennis courts and two basketball//netball courts along with parking, amenities, playgrounds, picnic and BBQ facilities 


  • Ropes Crossing Public Primary school opened in January 2008. 

Shopping and Lifestyles

Ropes Central Shopping Village contains a Coles Supermarket and a number of speciality stores including Chemist, Newsagency, Cafes & Takeaway stores. 


The Ropes Crossing Community Resource Hub is a $3.67million facility that is designed to be a ‘one stop shop’ that caters to local residents’ social, recreational, community health and education needs.

Community Connections initiatives include an online community portal to connect residents and a number of community groups including Safety Leadership Team, Playgroup & a Working Party Action Group that works towards creating new activities and groups for the community.

Ropes Crossing consists of 5 villages, Aurora, Barinya, Brookwood, Town Centre and Woodlands.

There is a wide variety of land, home & land packages and established homes available.

As well as implementing a treated and recycled water system for non-drinking purposes in all homes and businesses, native flora are also planted throughout the Ropes Crossing region to help conserve water and reduce energy.
