THE INTENT

As a member of the Lendlease Graduate Program in Australia, you will become part of a diverse, team-based environment where you will have the opportunity to work with truly experienced professionals, in a culture that ensures you develop and grow – in fact, many of our leaders began their career as part of our graduate program.

With opportunities nationally, our Program spans two years, includes rotations and provides opportunities across five of our business areas including Building Construction, Property Development, Engineering, Services and our Corporate Functions. 

Working on different projects with different people, drivers, complexities, challenges, geographies and responsibilities helps develop well rounded and highly skilled individuals.

You will be supported through a structured learning and development program, a variety of on the job activities, networking and social activities. During the two-year program you will build lasting networks with both senior leaders and fellow graduates.

On completion of our program we are proud to say some of our best graduates have been successful in securing sought after international opportunities across our global projects in places like London and Singapore.

Building (Construction & Design)

Our Building business is Australia’s largest construction company, known for our ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget. We have delivered some of Australia’s most iconic buildings including; Forte and The new Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (UTS) and Barangaroo South in Sydney, Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane and the Adelaide Convention Centre.

We offer challenging opportunities Nationally in Site Engineering, Cost planning, Architectural Design, Engineering Design and Health and Safety with the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors, including commercial offices, retail, residential, government and social infrastructure projects. In addition we will build your functional expertise in areas such as safety, sustainability, procurement and contract management.

Corporate Functions (Business)

An organisation of our size and scale needs the sharpest business minds. We have built a best-in-class corporate community of sought after business partners that enable enhanced performance through collaboration, innovation, commercial discipline and the ongoing transformation of our functions. 

Communications (Corporate Affairs): The Corporate Affairs function comprises specialist teams who work in tandem to promote our great achievements, brand and capabilities.  We are the guardians of our reputation sharing the best stories to drive awareness and engagement with our key stakeholders. Everything we do is underpinned by our vision, values and strategy. 
You will work with our global Corporate Affairs team and experience the full spectrum of Corporate Affairs including; marketing and brand, crisis and event management, digital channels, supporting leadership communication and other internal communications, government affairs and media management.

Environment, Health & Safety: Safety is Lendlease’s number one priority. We are committed to operating Incident & Injury Free wherever we have a presence. This is central to our business approach and embedded in everything we do – no matter what role you play at Lendlease.  Our EH&S team supports and develops this safety-driven culture which extends to the health and wellbeing of our people and the environment.

Working with our highly experienced and committed team of experts, you will develop comprehensive knowledge of how a company of our scale designs, implements and embeds our safety principles and methodology at a corporate, business, project and asset level.

Finance: Our Finance team provides the strategic and operational Finance support to all areas of our Lendlease business. This includes establishing our systems, processes and reporting platforms to support business performance, analysis and day to day management.  

Annually we seek Accounting students to join our Finance team in Sydney. We will support your CA/CPA studies during your program and provide you with an in-depth understanding of our Finance function, including Treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions, Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis, Statutory and Management Accounting, Internal Audit and Finance Services. 

Human Resources: Our HR team supports our business so we can attract, develop and retain great people. We reward success, nurture talent and provide continuous employee development. Our initiatives support employees and leaders to create a positive working environment, one where we live our values and respect everyone for their contributions.

Over the two year Graduate program you will build a strong foundation of knowledge in HR through rotations with our HR operational support, HR business support and exposure to our Group HR Centres of Excellence including Compensation, Benefits and Performance, Learning and Development and Talent and Resourcing

Information Technology:
The Information Technology function at Lendlease is responsible for providing the technology capability and delivery to enable to our business strategy and day to day operations. We are a trusted business partner that delivers outcomes to the business and leads technological innovation to drive competitive advantage to our customers through the use of digitised and mobile technologies. 

There are a number of functional areas that can be accessed during the rotations including: Strategy and Architecture Services, Project Management and Delivery, Business Analysis and Business Process Management, Infrastructure Operations and Support, Applications Management and Digital

Marketing: Our Marketing teams work closely with our corporate, national and global business leaders to develop and implement key marketing strategies, campaigns and sales tools to enable the on-going success of our projects and business units.

With a degree in Marketing, Business and/or Commerce with a major in Marketing, you will join a team of highly skilled property marketing specialists gaining experience in; B2C & B2B marketing, research and analysis, stakeholder engagement and project marketing for our mixed use urban regeneration projects such as Barangaroo, residential communities, retirement villages and shopping centres

Procurement:
Be a part of a global Procurement function that is rapidly expanding. Our Procurement team defines our group wide procurement activities; establishes frameworks, policies and standards and facilitates identification and sharing of best practice to drive efficiencies and enhance performance across our diverse business.

You will develop a comprehensive knowledge of our Procurement value chain as well as a solid understanding of our core businesses across rotations in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Strategic Supplier Management.

Risk: Our Risk function is focused on embedding sound risk management practices into the business to drive  profitability and decrease volatility and uncertainty, in line with our business operations, local environments and priorities. We also work proactively with other corporate functions to maximise the benefits of risk management and other initiatives.

Working with our global Risk and Insurance team, you will be part of a best in class risk community. Through the two year rotation you will develop your knowledge and understanding across Risk and nsurance in our group function as well as out in the core businesses.

Sustainability: Sustainability has always defined the way Lendlease operates, recognising that the ‘best places’ deliver environmental, social and economic value well into the future.

Our Sustainability Framework, with its 12 pivotal elements, underpins our approach to Sustainability at a global and local level. This framework has long-term aspirations, with specific near-term goals for the three key elements of energy, water, and waste – where we want to lead performance.

Our Sustainability team measures and reports upon our performance to improve the way we do things on our projects, in our offices and in the communities in which we operate.

Engineering (Civil Infrastructure)

Our Engineering business is a leader in civil infrastructure.  We create packaged solutions for the delivery of infrastructure assets, including development, financing, design and construction. Working across Australia, we offer advanced technical capabilities and significant construction resources for the creation of critical transport and infrastructure assets, under a variety of delivery models.

Participating in a competency based program, you will gain a rounded view of the engineering landscape. While key fundamentals of engineering such as safety, procurement and contract management, are essential components of the program, graduates will also be exposed to a variety of additional disciplines on sites, including survey, estimating and environmental management. The program has also been developed to align with Engineers Australia’s Chartered status.

Property (Development management)

Our Property business is dedicated to delivering the next generation of sustainable property developments. We have a proven track record in invigorating places and creating and managing complex, mixed-use property developments. These range from residential apartments and shopping centres to commercial precincts and retirement living communities.

We have two unique streams for Graduates to work with our Property business:

Development Graduates, Property:
Kick starting a career in Development Management, our Graduates are exposed to the full development cycle and complete rotations through different business units as well as gaining exposure to functional areas such as safety, sustainability, marketing and operational excellence. We seek candidates with a degree in Property Economics or related and a real passion for the Property sector. 

Locations: NSW, VIC, QLD & WA

Marketing Graduates, Property: We are also seeking applications for aspiring Marketers to join our Property Marketing team. With a degree in Marketing, Business and/or Commerce with a major in Marketing, Graduates will join a team of highly skilled property marketing specialists gaining experience in; B2C & B2B marketing, research and analysis, stakeholder engagement and project marketing for our mixed use urban regeneration projects such as Barangaroo, residential communities, retirement villages and shopping centres.

Our diverse skills allow us to manage the entire development process, from masterplanning and buying land, consulting with local authorities on planning, to project management and leasing. We can even manage the asset once it’s complete.

Services (Infrastructure)

Our Services business is a specialist engineering, construction and asset management contractor, connecting industries and communities with vital infrastructure.  Our company is responsible for creating, operating and maintaining public and private assets that serve millions of people each day.

We operate in the Roads, Telecommunications, Utilities, Industrial and Resources sectors working on a wide range of projects including Westlink M7, Peninsula Link, Coliban Water, NBN, Loy Yang Power Station and our operations in the Goldfields-Esperance and Pilbara regions. As a graduate you will gain technical and site experience as well as build your functional expertise in areas such as safety, sustainability, procurement, stakeholder and contract management.
