Advisory Services

Our advisory services offer a broad range of expertise, across everything from sustainable solutions to venture capital investment opportunities. Most importantly we work together to create shared value for our clients and the broader community.

Sustainability Solutions

Sustainability has been an important part of our culture from the beginning. Fifty years on, a socially and environmentally responsible approach remains central to our business.

We understand that the choices we make in the design and construction phases are critical. This is why our Sustainability Solutions team works with internal and external clients to develop strategies that improve the environmental, economic and social conditions of the communities we operate in. We owe it to our cities and communities to create great places to live, work and visit.

The built environment is our legacy. It’s also a major factor in our health and wellbeing. With people spending up to 90 per cent of their lives indoors, and a quarter of that time at work, the quality of our indoor environment is crucial. Through our Sustainability Solutions business, we challenge traditional solutions to set new benchmarks in sustainable building.

At Lend Lease, we re-imagine products and markets to optimise environmental and social outcomes, as well as productivity and profitability. We also partner with like-minded organisations and our clients to drive the next generation of sustainable development and stay at the forefront of market trends.

Our Sustainability Solutions services include:

  • Exploring and developing innovative commercial structures to finance sustainability
  • Accounting for project outcomes in the context of emerging regulatory changes and carbon markets/position
  • Developing market mechanisms for policy makers as well as commercial delivery
  • Preparing sustainability positioning and messaging for communications strategies
  • Preparing stakeholder engagement strategies and identifying key profiling opportunities

Venture Capital

Leading the Way in Cleantech Investment

As one of Australia’s most active investors in clean technology, we invest in commercially viable growth companies in the energy, water and building sectors.

We assist cleantech firms in making their technology more commercially viable for the Australian and global markets. We typically invest at the expansion capital stage, where entities are seeking funds to commercialise proven products and services. Supporting these companies helps to drive innovation, and puts us at the forefront of sustainable technology.

We’re leading the way with a portfolio of six cleantech investments and a fund size of $100 million. We invest more than just capital, bringing to the table expertise, client and customer relationships and an international network that is capable of accelerating value creation for cleantech innovators .

 Daintree Networks

Daintree Networks is a leading developer of wireless lighting control solutions for commercial buildings. By removing the wires, its wireless solution overcomes the traditional barriers to retrofitting existing buildings with energy saving lighting control systems, while also reducing the cost, payback period and complexity of commissioning. Daintree markets its wireless solutions to leading global lighting and controls companies.

Lighting controls can significantly reduce a building’s energy use and hence carbon emissions.

 Better Place Australia

Better Place Australia is currently working to establish the infrastructure for the widespread adoption of electric vehicles in Australia. Infrastructure rollout will commence in Canberra in 2011, with customers being served from 2012.

There is widespread public support and economic reasoning behind the mass adoption of electric vehicles. A nationwide network of recharge and battery exchange points will provide an unlimited driving range for electric vehicles users, thus removing a key historical limitation to mass adoption.
