Our Global Foundation Programs

Our global Foundation programs create a unified community with a common focus – to use our collective knowledge, skill and passion to improve our own lives and the communities where we live and work.

Global programs include Springboard, Community Day, Vacation Intern Program and Foundation Funday.

Springboard brings employees from different cultures and businesses together for an intensive four day personal development experience. Around 300 employees participate in eight Springboard programs each year.  The current program – Springboard Far North Queensland – centres round the theme of community sustainability and partners with Mossman Community Centre in far north Queensland, Australia.  All activities are designed to generate a positive legacy for our community partner.

Community day

Community Day has been operating since 1996 and occurs in September each year. This much loved initiative gives our employees the opportunity to give back to communities in which we live and work. 

Employees’ skills are matched with community needs, supporting a range of projects that address social, economic and environmental issues. Each year teams of employees design, build, garden, clean, demolish, pack, plan, paint, repair and teach, alongside our community partners and often our subcontractors and business partners.  All employees are encouraged to participate, and since its inception, over 500,000 hours have been volunteered across hundreds of community projects around the world.

Foundation’s regional programs are tailored to address local employee, business and community needs.  In Australia for example, a number of ‘Andrew May’ programs are run throughout the year focusing on wellbeing, performance and productivity.  In the UK the ‘Pilotlight’ program matches senior employees with individuals in not-for-profit organisations, facilitating a skills exchange and mentoring relationship.  In Asia the ‘Live Active’ program shares strategies around enhancing productivity and managing stress and change, all of which promotes greater work life balance.
