Our experience in this sector is primarily focused in Australia, where our infrastructure expertise is delivered through three experienced, specialist businesses. Abigroup is responsible for our water infrastructure projects, including the Adelaide Desalination Plant. Baulderstone, one of Australia’s top three marine contractors, brings its expertise to our marine infrastructure projects, including the expansion of Sydney’s Port Botany. Conneq was behind our major power infrastructure projects, such as the gas-fired Uranquinty Power Station. Abigroup and Baulderstone are experienced in delivering Australia’s roads and bridges, including landmark projects such as the M7 motorway and Anzac Bridge.

Baulderstone was head contractor for the construction of the $80 million Anzac (Glebe Island) Bridge, a prominent Sydney landmark and an architectural gateway to the area around Rozelle Bay. The bridge was designed to include clearance for tall ships, safe road gradients and easy connection with the Western Distributor and City West Link. It is the largest cast-in-situ concrete, cable-stayed structure in Australia and amongst the world’s widest cable-stayed bridges with a cast-in-situ concrete deck. Baulderstone delivered the Glebe Island Arterial 15 months earlier than the client’s deadline. The project won the 1996 Engineering Excellence Award for Project Development Infrastructure, as well as the inaugural Australian Construction Achievement Award in 1996. Learn more
