Rod Leaver
Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific |  | Appointed to his current role in January 2008 and based in Sydney, Australia.


Rod has 30 years' experience in the property investment and funds management industry. Most recently, Rod was Executive Chairman of the Ronin Property Group, managing total funds of A$2.4 billion. Prior to this, Rod co-founded and worked as Chief Executive Officer of listed property investment company, James Fielding Group, and was also a co-founder and Executive Director of Paladin Australia Limited.


Rod was previously a National Director of the Property Council of Australia and was their NSW President for three years. He has also held positions on the NSW Heritage Council, the Historic Houses Trust Foundation, the Property Industry Foundation and also the Sydney Cancer Foundation.

Rod is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

David Hutton
Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific & Head of Development |  | Appointed to his current role in May 2007 and based in Sydney, Australia.


David started his career in retail management before joining Lend Lease in 1988. He has held numerous senior positions including CEO of Lend Lease Europe, COO of Lend Lease Development, and CEO of Lend Lease Retail Asia Pacific.


David’s achievements include the development of multiple new regional shopping centres in Australia and Europe (the largest being Bluewater in Kent England), the launch of Lend Lease’s first UK investment fund, the conversion of Greenwich Peninsular (the UK’s largest regeneration project), and a number of large mixed-use projects.


David has significant experience in retail development, fund, asset and property management in addition to high-density residential and mixed-use projects. He has also negotiated and managed numerous joint venture structures with both government and private sector partners.


David has a Bachelor of Business (with distinction) from Charles Sturt University, formal qualifications in retail management and is a licensed real estate agent.

Daniel Labbad
Chief Executive Officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa |  | Appointed to his current role in March 2008 and based in London, UK.


Daniel first joined Lend Lease in 1997 as a site engineer based in Sydney, Australia. In 1999 Daniel became Project Director for the $AU500M upgrade of Sydney International Airport in preparation for the 2000 Olympics. After Sydney Airport Daniel became the inaugural Chief Executive of, a non-profit community development organization, The Hornery Institute, building the business to a team of 20 people with projects around Australia.


Returning to Lend Lease in 2005 Daniel developed and implemented a Sustainability Transformation Plan for the Lend Lease group; initiating the Sustainability Measurement criteria and global reporting requirements which resulted in the production of Lend Lease’s inaugural Sustainability report in 2005.


Prior to March 2008, Daniel was the Chief Operating Officer of Lend Lease Retail & Communities – UK with operational responsibility for Lend Lease Retail, Crosby Lend Lease and major projects.

Gary Buechler
Chief Executive Officer, Americas |  | Appointed to his current role in April 2008 and based in Northern New Jersey.


Gary is responsible for the growth of the Investment Management business in the United States, including management of our US public-private-partnership business. Gary joined Lend Lease in 2002, holding a number of positions within Lend Lease. Prior to his current appointment, Gary most recently served as the Chief Commercial & Legal Officer for Lend Lease Retail & Communities US. Gary formerly was a partner with an international law firm based in New York City and specialized in the practice of real estate law.


Gary received an A.B from The University of Michigan and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
