Mark A. Albertson Joins Lend Lease
Boston, MA – January 16, 2001 – Mark Albertson has joined Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc. as a Principal in the company’s Multifamily Group based in Boston. Albertson is responsible for portfolio management and client relations, as well as marketing for several multifamily investment products. Lend Lease is one the nation’s leading real estate advisors to pension funds and other institutional investors.
Albertson joins Lend Lease with over 22 years of real estate experience, including extensive portfolio management, acquisitions, client relations, pension fund and senior management experience. Formerly with California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) in Sacramento, California, he was a portfolio manager, responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for non-traditional real estate investments, focusing on a higher return/risk strategy designed to result in enhanced overall portfolio yield and greater risk diversity. Prior to that he was with AEW Capital Management, LP serving as a managing director, where he managed portfolios totaling in excess of $3.7 billion. He was responsible for the firm’s largest client, and significantly expanded that relationship into multiple AEW investment programs and strategies. He was also President & CEO of The Boston Company Real Estate Counsel, Inc., where as chairman of the investment committee, he directed the implementation of client strategies and made major decisions affecting client portfolios valued in excess of $2.25 billion.

Mr. Albertson holds an MBA from the Indiana University Graduate School of Business (Beta Gamma Sigma) as well as a BA in Biological Sciences, also from Indiana University.
