Our Graduate Programme is designed to enhance your skills and experience, helping you to build a career that realises your true potential. During the programme you will be supported to develop and progress your career through a variety of on-the-job activities, with access to an advisor to help you achieve your professional chartered status.

The programme will also provide you with a structured learning and development plan that will include attending our annual Building Futures Conference and ample networking opportunities.

You will be given real management responsibility from the start and be held accountable for delivering important elements of our workload. Our Construction business has been continuously operating in the United Kingdom since 1885. Today we are an industry leader and have delivered some of the world’s most exciting and iconic buildings, including the London Olympic Village, Bluewater and Trafford Shopping Centres, Canary Wharf and The Lloyds Building.

We are known for our ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget. And importantly, we are committed to operating Incident & Injury Free wherever we have a presence. Join us and you will work on projects in a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail and urban regeneration in one of five roles:

  • As an Assistant Construction Manager you will have responsibility for the day to day management of all activities on site. Your first consideration will be the safety of everyone who may be affected by our operations.
  • As an Assistant Project Manager you will help to plan and deliver the strategy to ensure project success. You will assist in determining the sequence of operations and the procurement strategy that will lead to the most efficient operations on site.
  • As an Assistant Commercial Manager you will have responsibility for aspects of the contracts under which we operate. You will assist in controlling the payments we make to our contractors and the submissions for payments that we receive from our clients.
  • As an Assistant Building Services Manager you will have responsibility for the day to day management of all building services, including mechanical, electrical and building management systems, from procurement through installation and commissioning.
  • As an Assistant Planning Manager you will have responsibility for the planning of works on site. You will develop short and medium range programmes linking to the overall project plan, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, monitoring performance against programme and advising on actions to address any issues identified. 

Over the two years of the graduate programme you will not only develop a wide range of skills and experience across all stages of the construction process, you will also establish a network of colleagues that will stay with you as your career progresses.

  • A minimum 2:2 classification in a built environment, real estate or project management related degree is preferred. Other degrees with relevant industry experience will be considered.

We have a proven global track record in delivering complex mixed use large scale urban regeneration incorporating residential, retail and office sector innovation, and are establishing a new benchmark for best practice within the European market including Elephant Park, International Quarter London, and Timberyard Deptford.

We operate an integrated team model that allows us to manage the entire development process, from outline brief through to management of a completed asset. By joining the Development Management graduate programme, you will be exposed to the full development cycle including project management and construction, build on your commercial acumen, actively manage stakeholders, and experience functional areas such as safety, sustainability, marketing and operational excellence. You will join a passionate and growing team.


  • A minimum 2:1 classification; preferably with a focus in finance, engineering, sustainability or technology (including a focus on 'future cities' or 'smart cities').
  • Degrees with a focus in Social Policy and Economics are also encouraged.
  • Related degrees, including real estate and estate management will be considered.
  • Relevant and demonstrable work experience.

The Finance Graduate Programme is designed to enhance your skills, build your experience and provide you with an in-depth understanding of finance at Lendlease.

During the programme you will study for the ACA professional qualification, as well as attend structured in-house development courses whilst having the opportunity to work in finance across a broad range of the Lendlease business.


  • A minimum 2:1 classification in Accounting and/or Finance preferred. Other degree qualifications with a strong numerical element will be considered.
  • Some relevant and demonstrable work experience.

By joining the Development Marketing graduate programme, these schemes will give you the opportunity to work in the residential, retail and office sectors. You will also be exposed to the full range of marketing channels, giving you the chance to gain experience in a variety of disciplines including advertising, communications, brand, social media, e-mail campaigns, media planning and events. You will also be working with the award-winning creative agencies that we partner with.

The programme will also help you develop your commercial acumen and communication skills across a wide group of stakeholders. You will join a passionate and growing team in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Our Construction business has delivered some of the world’s most exciting and iconic buildings, including BBC Broadcasting House, the London Olympic Village, Bluewater and Trafford Shopping Centres, Canary Wharf and The Lloyds Building.

As an Assistant Design Manager you will work hand in hand with the Design Manager and be accountable for liaison and management of the architectural and engineering design teams to ensure the timely delivery of quality information to the construction team to enable the realisation of the employer's requirements.

You will be expected to ‘think outside of the box’ with a fresh pair of eyes and consider the design holistically.  You will assist the Design Manager in ensuring the design intent is maintained by resolving design, buildability, safety, cost and programme issues from pre-construction through to handover. As your experience and knowledge grows, you will increasingly take personal ownership of Design Management duties.

  • A 2:1 in a Design (Architecture, Building Services, Structural Engineering), Design Management or Construction related degree.
