As an organisation, Lendlease believes that action on mental health has never been more necessary. We live in a sometimes irrational, ever more complex and fast-paced world.
We team up with organisations around the world, including Mental Health First Aid, beyondblue, MATES in Construction, Bupa and Uprise, to learn more about what we can do to make our workplaces around the world mentally healthy for our employees.
To date, Lendlease has more than 400 trained Mental Health First Aid officers who acquire the skills and knowledge to spot early signs of mental health problems, guide people towards the right support and reduce stigma around mental illness. All of our employees have the opportunity to participate in a two-day Mental Health First Aid training course where they are taught to reframe negative thoughts in a more positive light and support a persons' recovery.
Another initiative introduced by Lendlease in 2015 is Wellbeing Leave. The leave gives our employees one work day every quarter to take care of their health and wellbeing.
