International House Sydney wins Excellence in Commercial Development

Designed by renowned architects Tzannes and Associates and completed in  
April 2017, International House Sydney stands at the entrance to Barangaroo South and is the first office building in Australia to use engineered timber – Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glue Laminated Timber (Glulam) – as its primary material.

The six-storey building has delivered a range of economic, social and environmental benefits, including reduced construction time and less air, noise and waste pollution. It has a 6 Star Green Star for Office Design and is targeting the same As Built rating.  

The benefits of using timber in the built environment have contributed to its market appeal, securing financial services tenant, Accenture, for the entire building.
