Lendlease saving more lives in 2018 with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service

One in three Australians will need a blood donation during their lives – but only one in 30 donates.

This is why Lendlease employees have been donating blood to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service for many years. In 2016, we joined Red25 – the organisation’s group donation program with a goal to rally organisations and groups across the country to achieve, together, 25 per cent of the country’s blood donations.

Around one third of blood donations help people with cancer and the rest go towards treating serious medical issues ranging from pregnancy complications to immune conditions and heart disease.

In 2018, Lendlease Red25 members made 742 donations nationally, meaning we helped up to 2,226 patients in need.

This year Lendlease wants to achieve the ambitious target of making 1,000 donations and saving 3,000 lives.

For Lendlease, Red25 is a chance to stand out by making a donation more powerful than money. For the individual, it’s an opportunity to feel amazing for saving lives through a simple act that’s free, fulfilling and doesn’t even take an hour.
