Morning
- My day typically starts with a quick scan of emails and project updates. It's essential to prioritise tasks, addressing any urgent issues first.
- After that I’ll complete a morning site walk to assess project progress against the program and discuss any challenges with the team and subcontractors, often accompanied by a much-needed coffee.
- Collaboration is key in construction. I often find myself in team meetings, brainstorming solutions to complex problems and refining project plans - discussing potential risks with colleagues is a regular part of my role.
- Throughout all my morning tasks I’m ensuring compliance, safety standards and quality control measures is paramount.
Lunch
- The day slips away, but I always take a moment to recharge with a nutritious meal.
Afternoon
- The afternoon often involves client interactions. Keeping the client informed about upcoming project works and addressing their concerns is crucial.
- A significant portion of my afternoons are dedicated to resolving outstanding RFIs (Request for Information) related to my work areas and subcontractor packages. This involves collaborating with consultants to close out issues and strengthen professional relationships.
