“Lendlease’s vision is to create the best places and in working to achieve that we must learn, with deep respect, from our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brothers and sisters and recognise and value the fundamental place their culture, knowledge and history have in making Australia the best and most equitable place it can be for all Australians,” said Lendlease Group CEO and Managing Director, Steve McCann.

Since 2011, when we first introduced our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), we have encouraged all our Australian employees to acknowledge and celebrate the proud heritage of Australia’s First Peoples and promote opportunities for career development, sustainable business growth, and economic participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians within our sector.

In 2016, we launched our second RAP with Reconciliation Australia, entitled ‘Building Respect: Past, Present, Future’, that expanded our commitment to Indigenous participation and achieved an ‘Elevate’ level status.
