The certification, granted by the Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces (GCHW), assesses employer programs across a broad range of factors including health and safety, mental wellbeing, commitment from top leadership and the ability of employees to influence its design.
Achieving this global certification recognises our commitment to taking care of our people through supporting their physical and mental wellbeing
Whilst we have a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, mental health has been a growing area of focus. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training has become a cornerstone of these efforts with over 1,150 of our employees trained around the world to be competent in mental health first aid.
Lendlease also provides eligible employees with industry leading wellbeing leave which encourages them to take a proactive and preventative approach to their own health. In FY18, 68.4 per cent of our employees around the world took wellbeing leave.
Lendlease was also named winner of the multinational employer category in the Global Healthy Workplace Awards announced on Friday 7 September 2018 in Bergamo, Italy. Hosted by the Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces(GCHW), the awards recognise organisations implementing programs that excel in the creation of safe and healthy workplaces with an emphasis on universal relevance and adaptability to local conditions.
