A new Lendlease community in south-west Sydney
About our project
The project is situated in the suburb of Gilead, within the Campbelltown local government area, south-west Sydney. Gilead is centrally located just 10 minutes to the Campbelltown-Macarthur regional centre and the districts education, health, retail, cultural and transport hubs. The Nepean River is located west of the project, with Appin Road and the Georges River to the east.
It brings together two precincts, Figtree Hill which has commenced development and Gilead which is subject to planning approvals. Lendlease has planned each precinct individually whilst ensuring they work together as an interconnected community.
The historic Mount Gilead Homestead and surrounding landscape, located between the two precincts, is privately owned and protected for its heritage and biodiversity value. Existing native bushland on the estate will be regenerated by Lendlease to provide wildlife habitat and connectivity.

Connecting with Country
Lendlease is committed to working with First Nations people to ensure their aspirations are embedded into the planning for the project. Through our Connecting with Country framework and Lendlease’s Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan the project team has established a First Nations advisory group to guide community-based outcomes.
