To say that innovation is second nature at Lendlease is an understatement. We are always looking for ideas and technologies that could potentially transform the industry, and to discover innovative solutions that can effectively overcome real estate challenges.
A few months back, the seeds were sown in a conversation with JLL.
With our alignment in values, fuelled by our strong culture of innovation, it felt right for both companies to establish a platform to connect start-ups to Asia Pacific’s US$16 trillion commercial real estate market, which offers boundless untapped opportunities.
Propell Asia is purpose-built to provide start-ups with the platform to accelerate their business success. Through our integrated business models and networks, Lendlease and JLL will enable participants to access the entire real estate value chain – including investment, development, construction, brokerage, consulting and facilities management – and opportunities to test and validate their products.
Against the backdrop of rapid urbanisation and the rise of smart cities, our industry in Asia Pacific is well-poised for the next wave of disruption.
Together with our partners, co-working space District6 and creative design incubator MeshMinds, the accelerator programme will introduce the living lab concept to start-ups. The living lab concept is simple, that is to offer start-ups deep access to real estate expertise, scale to test their products and access to the entire real estate value chain.
It is no secret that Lendlease has 21 major urbanisation projects across nine gateway cities and an estimated global development pipeline end value of AUD$112 billion. Start-ups can look forward to an opportunity to propel beyond Singapore and Asia!
