Collins Wharf showcases urban living at its best with coveted off-the-plan apartments in the heart of Melbourne
Collins Wharf, located on a peninsula embraced by the Yarra River and Victoria Harbour, offers off-the-plan quintessentially ‘Melbourne’ apartments. This waterfront neighbourhood is only five minutes by tram from Melbourne’s CBD and combines vibrant city life with waterfront tranquillity.
These new apartment developments for Melbourne reflect Lendlease’s commitment to creating exceptional urban spaces that foster vibrant communities and enhance cityscapes with exceptional building facades.
Australia’s capital cities are undergoing record growth, with Melbourne leading Sydney as the fastest-growing city. The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that in the 2022-2023 financial year, Melbourne’s population increased by 167,500 while Sydney’s grew by 146,700.
To meet this demand, apartment living will increasingly become the norm, according to Daniel Dugina, Lendlease Executive Director Developments VIC, SA and WA.
“At the moment, the majority of residents in Melbourne live in either detached or semi-detached homes of one to two-storey dwellings,” he says. “What we are trying to do is make sure we are developing apartments that people want to live in. They can enjoy the great cafes and restaurants on their doorstep, as well as the wellness facilities associated with the building and improve their lifestyle.”
To cater to this growing demand, Lendlease is developing off-the-plan apartments in Melbourne’s CBD that offer the balanced urban lifestyle people are seeking. These apartments combine an authentic Melbourne feel in their architectural design with a focus on sustainability and quality.
When fully developed, Collins Wharf will comprise six residential towers in total.
“The apartments are designed to take advantage of their unique location,” Daniel says. “The site has the benefit of sitting on a peninsula with water on both sides – you have the Yarra River on one side and Victoria Harbour on the other.”

Construction of Regatta commenced in June 2024, with construction of Ancora, commencing later in 2024. Completion is scheduled for 2026 and 2027, respectively. Regatta is a 29-level tower with 317 residences, while Ancora sits at 28 levels with 303 residences. With a selection of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments as well as four-bedroom townhouses, these luxurious residential towers cater to a variety of needs. Regatta is now over 80 per cent sold out, with strong interest in Ancora from local buyers.
At Collins Wharf, every detail is crafted with quality of life and convenience in mind. Features include expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies that offer unobstructed water views from every apartment – a rare find in urban apartment living.
“We design apartments that are convenient, with a soft services and technology overlay that takes the stress out of urban living,” Daniel says. “Our apartments are low maintenance, highly convenient and very functional, with plenty of storage.”
“Collins Wharf integrates with the four-kilometre Greenline Project, which is set to be a wellbeing-focused space buzzing with walkers, joggers and cyclists along the north bank of the Yarra River. The Greenline is planned to interconnect parks, promenades and Australian native plantings.”

“We have a boardwalk that maintains a north-south connection through the different parcels of land that form the future Greenline,” says John Taylor, Head of Product and Design.
“The design of our projects responds to the surrounding precinct. We have colour schemes in the interiors that reflect the area. One is called Marine, with smooth lines, neutral colours and a slightly marine theme. In the architecture, we’ve picked a palette of materials. Sometimes it’s timber, sometimes it’s concrete. While we do take current trends into consideration, our main focus is to design apartments that are timeless and specific to the vernacular of the precinct. Collins Wharf is marine-centric as it’s on the water’s edge.”
Sustainability is a core principle of Lendlease practices, and our off-the-plan Melbourne apartments are no exception.
Collins Wharf targets a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built rating from the Green Building Council of Australia and is designed as an all-electric building, reducing fossil fuel consumption.
The buildings are energy-efficient, incorporating rainwater capture and energy-efficient appliances.
The common areas will be powered by purchased renewable electricity, further reducing its carbon footprint.
Construction practices also focus on sustainability, with electric cranes reducing diesel use and leftover concrete repurposed.
Responding to customer demand for more green space, lush plantings of native vegetation endemic to the area will fill the boardwalk between the residential towers and the water, creating a nature corridor that gives an urban forest feel—but with absolute water frontage. The unused concrete from the towers' construction will be repurposed for planter boxes. It’s a thoughtful addition that sets Collins Wharf apart from other apartment developments in Melbourne.
The Collins Wharf project also integrates rich maritime and First Nations histories into its public realm design to tell the story of place and country. Heritage-listed train tracks and maritime artifacts have been preserved, offering residents an authentic historical experience.
With a commitment to timeless elegance, convenience and sustainability, our luxury off-the-plan apartments in Melbourne set the bar high for the future of urban living. Now, you can have it all – the excitement of city living with the rejuvenating qualities of water and trees, with the space to breathe easily and be your best self.
