OUR FUTURE IN WESTERN SYDNEY
In 2017, our place in Western Sydney will further amplify with the announcement of two new projects for the region.
The redevelopment of Western Sydney Stadium will have the capacity to draw a crowd of over 30,000 and additional standing capacity of 1,000. The project is being delivered in partnership with architects Populous and engineering consultants Aurecon.
Managing Director of Building, Lendlease, Dale Connor said, “This project is an opportunity for us to continue our legacy in the delivery of important public and sporting infrastructure, including the original Parramatta Stadium in 1986, but also to continue our commitment to enhancing Greater Western Sydney’s prosperity."
We will also design and construct The Northern Road from Glenmore Parkway at Glenmore Park to Jamison Road at South Penrith. The upgrade will include four lanes in each direction, a continuous kerbside bus lane and a shared path. The M4 Western Motorway interchange is also part of the upgrade.
Craig Laslett, Managing Director of Engineering, Lendlease, said, “We look forward to working closely with Roads and Maritime Services to safely deliver the upgrade of The Northern Road between Glenmore Park and South Penrith. This work will improve road transport capacity ahead of the opening of the new Western Sydney Airport and future traffic demand."
