Lakeside Joondalup is located in the northern suburbs of Perth, approximately 26 km to the north of the Perth Central Business District (CBD). The centre forms the major retail component of the Joondalup SMC. The Joondalup SMC is the major commercial, retail, civic and education precinct in the northern suburbs of Perth and is located within the City of Joondalup. The Lakeside Joondalup total trade area is defined to include one primary sector, five secondary sectors and two tertiary sectors. The defined total trade area extends some 85 km to the north, 40 km to the north-east, 7 km to the east and some 13 km to the south.
