Designed by Woods Bagot, the circa 26,000 sqm commercial building is NLA campus style office with a 400 bay carpark and is the only commercial building in Sydney’s new urban neighbourhood, Darling Square. With a strong corner presence & frontage, the commercial office marks an entry to the new Darling Square precinct. The building will target a 6 Star Green Star design and as built rating and 5 Star NABERS energy rating on completion.
The ground level experience for the commercial office has been developed as an integrated extension of the Boulevard and is part of the public realm composition. The Boulevard graduates to the raised entry which will apply a similar floor finish maintaining continuity of materiality with the Boulevard. The raised entry platform and the crafted building frontage, becomes an invitation to filter into the building, physically and visually. The commercial lobby and entry experience is intended to encourage a direct vertical connection with the work-spaces above.
The commercial office at Darling Square aims to be a workplace that supports the next generation of tenant. A building that supports, agile and innovation focused workforce, connected to the community, authentic and tactile in its finish, totally connected, dynamic and flexible. A building that creates a “window to innovation”.
