Lendlease Europe has become a Founder Patron in support of Manchester’s HideOut Youth Zone, a charity that provides thousands of young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
HideOut Youth Zone recently opened its doors to young people aged 8-19 and up to 25 for those with additional needs. It provides a safe and inspiring place for young people to spend their leisure time.
Lendlease, who are currently delivering Manchester’s Town Hall and Albert Square refurbishment programme, has pledged to support the Youth Zone for the next four years. Every penny donated by Lendlease will go towards supporting young Mancunians through quality youth work, helping them develop the skills they need to overcome life’s challenges, as well as develop the confidence and resilience they need to succeed.
Paul King, Managing Director, Sustainability & Social Impact, Lendlease Europe, said: “HideOut is a superb new facility that will benefit thousands of young Mancunians. Lendlease is very proud to support the Youth Zone as we have a clear responsibility to support local people in the communities within which we are privileged to work, and the services that this charity provides have the potential to transform the lives of many young people.”
For just 50p per visit, young people can take part in a whole host of activities including indoor climbing, dance, drama, music, media, cooking plus much more.
The Youth Zone also has a dedicated enterprise and employability suite where qualified youth workers and local partners provide support for young Mancunians who are not in education, employment or training.
