First Australian office portfolio to be recognised with the global WELL Health Safety Rating

Last year, Lendlease Funds and Asset Management achieved a world first with our portfolio of office buildings first to be certified by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) portfolio rating. Now, in a continued commitment to delivering healthier outcomes for people and the planet, our office portfolio is the first Australian portfolio to be recognised with the WELL Health Safety Rating.

Our strong belief is that the health and wellbeing of everyone who enters their workplace is paramount – where people work matters – and leadership along with an unwavering commitment to health and wellness principles will continue to drive positive change.

For years we’ve committed to the protocols and guidelines of the WELL Portfolio program, which helps organisations scale health and wellbeing interventions across their entire business. To date, we continue to impact the health and wellbeing of over 56,000 people through this initiative in building communities. The WELL Health Safety Rating indicates confidence and trust while demonstrating to anyone who enters our spaces that evidence-based measures have been adopted and third-party verified.

IWBI is the global authority on healthy buildings and the WELL Health Safety Rating is their independent assessment of facilities, operations and management. It's informed by the WELL Building Standard along with a global task force of over 600 experts.

The WELL Health Safety Rating includes various strategies that help buildings:

  • Keep spaces clean and sanitised
  • Assess air and water quality
  • Help everyone prepare for an emergency
  • Provide essential health services
  • Communicate health and safety efforts.
These WELL achievements over the last several years reinforce Lendlease as an international leader of social sustainability, further evidenced by our leading results in the GRESB rankings each year.
