Three things I’m looking for at MIPIM 2025

It’s an exciting time to be heading to MIPIM 2025. With strong attendance confirmed across the private and public sector and with real estate, growth and investment dominating global headlines, I’m expecting this year’s event to be one of the most dynamic and productive we’ve seen for some time.
As I head to Cannes next week, here are three things I’m looking for:
Fresh opportunities
The market is evolving rapidly and at MIPIM I’m excited to identify new projects with long-term growth potential. The residential sector remains a priority for Lendlease, as we continue to focus on creating homes that are designed for living, foster wellbeing, and maximise value. At the same time we believe the role workplace plays in productivity has reimagined and reinvigorated post pandemic and that opportunities to reposition legacy stock will offer pathways to strong risk adjusted returns for our clients. I’m keen to engage with partners who share our vision for creating cities that stand the test of time, especially interest in these sectors grows with our global clients.
Innovative funding models
We’re seeing an increasing appetite for alternative funding models in real estate investment. At MIPIM, I’ll be exploring new ways to unlock value, including green bonds, joint ventures, and more flexible - and in some cases re-imagined - financing structures. The right funding partnerships will be key to driving growth across our portfolio and in particular to unlock new home delivery.

While sustainability is now well established as a core principle of any successful investment strategy, the industry continues to struggle to define the 'S' and identify meaningful social impact. We are looking forward to discussing the opportunities to make meaningful, measurable social impact from urban regeneration as well as keep pushing the envelope in delivering developments that meet the highest environmental standards.
MIPIM 2025 is set to be a game-changer, and I can’t wait to connect with fellow investors and industry leaders to explore new opportunities.
