IQL to support London Design Festival 2019

  • 3 Sep 2019

Leading Italian architect and designer, Fabio Novembre, will headline the ‘Next Generation Design’ event that will be held on 18 September at Workable, one of the newest and best-connected shared working spaces in the capital.

The London Design Festival celebrates and promotes London as the design capital of the world. A major element of the festival is the Global Design Forum, which is a thought leadership programme celebrating design and reflecting the most innovative thinking in the world of design today.

Next Generation Design will explore how design practices and brands spot and nurture new talent, and how emerging designers can get noticed and stay ahead in the creative industries.

Fabio Novembre, Domus Academy Scientific Director, will kick off the event with a keynote speech that discusses how to get noticed in the creative industries. It will be followed by a panel discussion with industry experts including Julian Vogel, CEO Modus BPCM and Linda Roberts, Director of Business & Innovation, London College of Fashion and Hannah Robinson, Programme Manager for Architecture Design and Fashion at the British Council.

The Next Generation Design event will be the only element of the Global Design Forum not to be hosted at the V&A, the world’s leading museum of art and design. V&A East is due to launch in 2022 in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and holding an event at Workable helps showcase the cultural powerhouse being developed in the area.
