Lendlease appoints new Head of Data Centres

Based in Singapore, Sunita will be responsible for leading Lendlease Data Centre Partners, the Group’s US$1 billion joint venture (JV) with a large institutional investor to invest in data centres in the Asia-Pacific. The JV is currently developing a 120 MW hyper-scale data centre in Greater Tokyo, Japan, with construction due to commence in June 2022. Sunita will be in charge of both sourcing and developing data centre assets across Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore. 

Sunita has a strong track record in the data centre space with more than a decade of experience building and managing Tier IV¹ data centres in the region. She was most recently CEO of SUPERNAP (Thailand), the company behind the first carrier-neutral hyperscale data centre in Thailand. Prior to her role at SUPERNAP, Sunita was the Vice President of Ctex data centre where she managed data centre operations and drove the attainment of Tier IV certifications.  
She has also been recognised as a leader within the data centre space, receiving accolades including:

• Mission Critical Magazine’s Top 25 Women in Technology 2022
• Channel Asia’s Winner Women in ICT Award 2021 – Shining Star 
• Infrastructure Masons IM100 Award 2020 
• Data Economy’s APAC 50 – The top 50 data centres and cloud influential leaders from across Asia Pacific in 2020 and 2018
