Granderson to continue company’s focus on promoting an inclusive and diverse culture

(New York, March 30, 2023) Lendlease, a leading global real estate and investment group, announced today that Leah Granderson has been named Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) for its U.S. business. She will report directly to US Chief People Officer, Carol Gomez.

In this role, Granderson will be responsible for advancing DE&I initiatives across the organization to maintain a positive corporate culture that has helped establish Lendlease as a career destination for industry talent. She will work directly with the regional leadership team and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to create and implement strategies that support growth by driving recruitment and retention.

“As a valued operational leader with extensive knowledge of our integrated platform, Leah understands how the recognition and representation of all employees supports our long-term growth,” said Claire Johnston, Chief Executive Officer, US. “I look forward to working with her to further advance our DEI strategy in a way that maximizes positive outcomes for our people and, by doing so, the business as a whole.”

Granderson previously led operations for Lendlease’s Privatized Army Lodging business, which delivers improved housing facilities on Army installations throughout the United States. She was also a founding member of Lendlease’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, established in 2020 and recently served as co-chair of the Women @ Lendlease Employee Resource Group.

“Having worked on jobsites and in the real estate industry for over a decade, I have seen firsthand what the value of mentorship and power of a diverse and inclusive workforce can bring to organizations like Lendlease that prioritize such initiatives,” said Granderson. “I’m proud to be responsible for these objectives and promote Lendlease as an employer of choice for all people.”

Prior to Lendlease, Granderson worked for Gobbell Hays Partner, Inc. as a Construction Project Manager focusing on the residential, education, government and healthcare sectors, with involvement in all stages of projects, from bid services, to design, to completion.

Granderson received her Bachelor of Science in architectural and facilities engineering from Tennessee State University.
