The development of the 40 hectare site includes office buildings, a retail centre, an arts centre, public parks, gardens and lakes (2.7 hectares). The first phase of the construction included the twin 88 storey office towers totalling approximately 296,880 square metres, and a 96,170 square metre retail zone, complete with associated parking and landscaped areas.

The intricate design by well known international architect Cesar Pelli was derived from the manipulation of geometric patterns common to the Islamic tradition. Lendlease was the project manager for the twin 450 metre towers.

The gleaming pinnacles of the 88 storey twin Petronas Towers has today become Kuala Lumpur's new landmark and serves as an inspiring symbol of the country's economic success and progress towards Vision 2020. Located at the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers, Suria KLCC is Malaysia's premier shopping destination that offers an array of goods and services to please and pamper the needs of shoppers.

Suria KLCC offers six distinctive levels of retail outlets, each with its own style and ambience with a total rental floor area of approximately 1 million square feet and over 300 shops. Our scope included overall coordination of total fit out works for all six levels. All substantial works were completed within the required time frame, thus enabling the opening of Suria KLCC in May 1998.
