Project outcome
The building is designed to house three main activities:
- Warehousing
- Test floor and labs
- General offices
The building facade uses high performance low-emissivity double glazing unit for all external windows and full height 'shop-front' glass. The building is rectangular with six storeys and one level of basement car park. It has a gross floor area of approximately 222,000 square feet.
Most of the parking is hidden from the surface so that the whole development resembles a town centre.
The office is designed with terraces and gardens within the office space and in some areas is opened to the sky. Smart features such as air flushing, lighting management system and intelligent environmental features provide a conducive working environment. The use of trellises with water features and selection of locally made materials give the building a tropical feel.
The project commenced construction in November 2005 and was completed in June 2007.
