At Lendlease we are place makers and value creators and, in order for us to deliver on these strategic priorities, we recognise that the health and wellbeing of our people comes first. By combining awareness, prevention, and support for financial, mental, physical and lifestyle wellbeing, we provide a structure that empowers everyone at Lendlease to thrive.
Benefits in the spotlight
Health and wellbeing support
At Lendlease our purpose is “Together we create value through places where communities thrive”. We believe our own Lendlease community deserves to thrive, which is why we actively look out for
our people’s safety, both physical and psychological, to create a better future for our employees.
Mental health support
We believe looking after our mental health is just as important as our physical health, which is why we incorporate both mental and physical safety as part of the global minimum requirements across our business. Lendlease is a founding member of the Building Mental Health Framework and has over 175 employees trained as active Mental Health First Aiders within the business.
Watch the video to find out more about about our recent campaign, #TalkingIsOurGreatestTool, which addressed the importance of encouraging male employees in the construction sector to open up about their mental health.
Not just annual leave
Full time employees are entitled to 25 days’ annual leave per year increasing with service, as well as 4 days of wellbeing leave annually to proactively prevent illness and positively impact wellbeing.
In addition our employees can buy or sell up to 1 weeks’ worth of leave annually.
Flexible and sustainable benefits
Our Flexible Benefits scheme gives our employees choice and control over their benefits, from seamlessly updating their Pension and Life Assurance to selecting voluntary and salary sacrifice benefits that are right for them. Our benefits have been designed to support our Mission Zero environmental targets, helping support a greener lifestyle with access to more sustainable energy, transport, and investment funds.
Personal and community development
Through volunteering days, community grants and our shared value partnerships across the globe, our employees are encouraged to give their time in a variety of ways, while also growing both personally and professionally.
At Lendlease we offer enhanced family leave policies including 26 weeks full pay for Maternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave, and 4 weeks full pay for Paternity leave. We also foster a supportive working environment for families to help our employees balance their work and home lives. Beyond this we offer tools such as our Employee Assistance Programme and Education seminars to partners and dependants where appropriate.
Belong at Lendlease
We offer workplaces that unite diverse minds; where respect, equal respect and equal opportunity are just the norm. Working closely with leading charities and advocates we ensure our health and wellbeing programmes are inclusive and accessible for all. We also promote connections through subsidised group activities, employee resource groups, internal workshops and conferences, because we know that when we all feel that we belong, our business and employees will thrive.

The main thing that originally attracted me to Lendlease was the exciting projects I could be involved in and the career opportunities.
It's a stable business, provides good jobs with opportunities to develop skills, it's a place that supports its people and has an industry-leading approach to D&I; whether that be wellbeing days,
mental health first aid or shared parental leave.
