The Lendlease Graduate Programme

If you hold a degree or are due to graduate soon, our Graduate Programme may be the entry route for you. Available streams may change each year as they're dependent on business needs, but we encourage applications from all graduates, regardless of degree discipline.

Our programme typically runs for two years, and focuses on building knowledge and experience through structured activities. These include:

Our business areas with graduate opportunities

Opportunities in each business area may change depending on business requirements. For our 2022 recruitment cycle, we have vacancies in the following areas:

  • Our Construction business has over two decades of experience in delivering iconic projects including the London Olympic Village, Bluewater Shopping Centre, Google’s new London headquarters, Manchester Town Hall, and the regeneration of Elephant & Castle.

Join us and you will work on projects in a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail and urban regeneration. You will develop a wide range of skills and experience across all stages of the construction process whilst establishing a network of colleagues who will be by your side as your career progresses.

  • Lendlease’s Consulting business is renowned for taking a positive, proactive and solution-oriented approach to addressing clients’ property and construction needs. Our client base is drawn from national and local government, public agencies and the private sector.

As well as developing your core project management and related technical skills over the duration of the Graduate Programme, you will also be given the opportunity to work on our business development activities, including bidding for new work and marketing.

  • Our Development business focuses on creating amazing places that are productive, profitable, enhance the environment and allow communities to prosper. Operating an integrated team model, we manage the entire development lifecycle from site acquisition, masterplanning and consulting with local communities, to project management, sales and leasing.

By joining the Development stream of our Graduate Programme, you will work on complex mixed-use development projects, building your commercial acumen, managing stakeholders, and experiencing functional areas such as safety, sustainability and marketing.

  • Our Finance team plays a pivotal role in driving the performance of the Group. This includes partnering with the business to offer strategic support; providing timely, reliable and accurate analysis; reporting and expert advice, as well as day-to-day operational support establishing our systems, processes and reporting plaforms.

The Finance stream of our Graduate Programme is designed to enhance your skills, build your experience and provide you with an in-depth understanding of finance at Lendlease. During the programme, you'll attend structured in-house development courses and undertake further studies leading to a recognised Accounting qualification.

Application process

The application process for our graduate programme may vary depending on the business area and number of positions available, but often includes an application form, interview and psychometric tests.

If you apply to one of our graduate positions, a member of the recruitment team will be in touch to take you through what the process will look like, and you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

I've been with Lendlease for four years since joining the Graduate Scheme in 2018. Having studied Accounting, I was attracted to Lendlease due to the all-round package available, including support to become a chartered accountant.

Lendlease isn’t afraid to give responsibility to young professionals and support and develop them in the early stages of their career - I've gained exposure to many different areas of the business and had contact with senior managers from day one. There's a brilliant culture where teams are engaged and driven to produce their best work.
