In the United Kingdom we offer a two-year Graduate Programme with opportunities across our business areas including Construction, Development, Consulting and Finance.
Our Construction business has been continuously operating in the United Kingdom for more than two decades. We have delivered some of the world’s most exciting and iconic buildings, including the London Olympic Village, Bluewater and Trafford Shopping Centres, Canary Wharf, The Lloyds Building, regeneration programme of Elephant & Castle, Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the Sydney Opera House.

Join us and you will work on projects in a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail and urban regeneration.  Roles available within the Construction Stream for our 2019 Graduate Programme include:

Lendlease’s Consulting business has more than 20 years’ experience delivering quality projects across a wide range of market sectors. We are renowned for our positive, proactive and solution orientated approach to addressing clients’ property and construction needs. Our client base is drawn from national and local government, public agencies and the private sector. Our Development business is dedicated to creating the best places; those that are productive and profitable, enhance the environment, and allow communities to prosper. We are in the business of creating positive legacies for everyone involved, with people at the heart of everything we do.

We have a proven track record in delivering complex mixed use large scale urban regeneration schemes incorporating residential, retail and offices, aiming to establish best practice in urban regeneration within the European market, including Elephant Park, International Quarter London, and Timberyard Deptford.

We operate an integrated team model and our diverse skills allows us to manage the entire development process, from masterplanning and site acquisition, consulting with local authorities on planning, to project management, sales and leasing. We can even manage the asset once its complete. In between, we’re able to integrate everything from financial modelling and research analysis to concept design and marketing.

By joining the Development stream of our Graduate Programme, you will be exposed to the full development cycle, building on your commercial acumen, actively managing stakeholders, and experience functional areas such as safety, sustainability, marketing and operational excellence. You will join a passionate and growing team.

  • A minimum 2:1 bachelors degree in a discipline that is transferable to the variety of work we undertake (e.g. real estate, property, urban planning, architecture, engineering, economics, social economic, future cities or smart cities etc.)

  • Some relevant and demonstrable work experience.

Our Finance function is vital in supporting our vision becoming a reality. At Lendlease we look for the brightest people and give them the environment to think and innovate.

Our Finance team provides both strategic insight and operational financial support to all areas of our business, playing a pivotal role in driving the performance of the Group. This includes partnering with the business to assist in driving and influencing key strategic decision making; providing timely, reliable and accurate analysis, reporting and expert advice; as well as establishing our systems, processes and reporting platforms to support business performance and day to day management.

The Finance stream of our Graduate Programme is designed to enhance your skills, build your experience and provide you with an in-depth understanding of finance at Lendlease. During the programme you will undertake further studies (e.g. Masters in Finance,  Association Chartered Accountant,  Chartered Institute of Management Accountants,  Chartered Financial Analyst,  ,  Chartered Institute of Tax), as well as attend structured in-house development courses whilst having the opportunity to work in finance across a broad range of the Lendlease business.

  • A minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree in Accounting &/or Finance is preferred. 
  • Other degree qualifications with relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Some relevant and demonstrable work experience.
  • Ability to speak Italian is a plus in the long run but it's not essential for the graduate programme.

Corporate Functions
Our Corporate Functions teams are the business minds behind the projects.

In our Corporate Functions business you will become part of a community of corporate business partners who will enable enhanced performance of our operations.  Using some of the latest technology, while adhering to strict environmental standards and working with a selection of industry professionals, we aim to deliver projects on budget, on time, in the safest way possible.  

Roles available for our 2019 Graduate Programme include:
  • Communications: Graduates will gain exposure to both internal and external communications, content development, social media content creation, media outreach, working in government relations and assist with communications campaigns.  
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • A minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree in a related field (see individual job description for further information).
  • Relevant work experience is an advantage but not a necessity.

Our unique programme streams are developed in line with our vision and business strategy and area tailored to enhance your skills and support you for your future roles with Lendlease.  As a participant of the Lendlease Graduate Programme you will be supported through a structured learning and development programme, various on the job activities and networking opportunities, including:

  • A series of business capability workshops in areas such as negotiating and business acumen;
  • Ongoing catch ups with senior leaders to encourage and steer your progress;

STEP 1 – Online Application Form (including submission of CV)

You will be asked to provide your basic details, upload a copy of your CV and answer two questions in relation to your application to our Graduate Programme.

TIP: Why not get a head start and prepare your answers to our two questions before you begin to complete the online application form.  You will be asked, 

  • What attracts you to starting your careers with Lendlease? (max. 300 words)
  • What are the top 3 strengths that make you a great fit for your selected stream (i.e. Construction, Consulting, Development, Finance or Central Function)? (max. 300 words).
STEP 2 – Video Interview

This is a one way automated video interview and a great opportunity to make your application come to life.  Further details will be made available to you when you reach this stage.

TIP: Prepare for it as you would for a face-to-face interview and make the most of the practice questions/time.

STEP 3 – Assessment Centre

We will invite you to attend an Assessment Centre at one of our offices/projects.  We’ll further assess your suitability through individual and group exercises and interviews.  It will provide you with an opportunity to find out more about us, our graduate programme and speak to some of our graduates to help you decide is Lendlease is for you.
