The Lendlease Construction Undergraduate Programme
Within Lendlease Construction we operate two undergraduate programmes designed to support new entrants to the professional careers offered by our dynamic industry.
Each route can lead to an honours degree in a construction related subject and prepare for chartered membership of the relevant professional institute. We can help you pick the route that is right for you.
The Day Release routine
If you can't wait to experience life in a project team but recognise the need to complement your practical learning with an academic framework, this could be the route for you. Our Day Release trainees attend university one day a week during term time and work in project teams the rest of the time. The degree course lasts for five years, by which time you will have significant project experience and will be close to achieving chartered membership of your professional institute. You will receive a salary throughout the programme which increases with your growing experience and the company will meet your university course fees.
The Undergraduate Sponsorship route
If you would prefer to study on a full time basis but want a programme that provides the opportunity to integrate periods of industrial experience, bringing your university studies to life, our Undergraduate Sponsorship programme could be made for you. Our sponsored undergraduates are studying for a sandwich degree in a construction related subject. This means they spend term time in years one, two and four as students at their chosen university and work in our project teams during the summers and for year three, which is the industrial placement year. During term time we pay a monthly bursary and during placement periods a competitive salary. As a member of our sponsorship programme you will also benefit from support during term time and planned placements during the rest of the year specifically designed to meet your development needs and complement your course work.
Where can this take you?
Previous members of our undergraduate programmes have risen to the highest positions in our business! With a firm foundation, both in your chosen discipline and in Lendlease procedures, you will be in a great position to take advantage of the many career options generated by our international operations.
