Global Reporting Initiative

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is used as a reference by thousands across the globe. The GRI allows comparison between companies, benchmarking and informed target setting. In addition to these guidelines, the GRI allows ‘sector supplements' which address the unique, detailed issues of particular sectors. We first used the GRI indicator to report on our company’s performance in 2005. In 2008, we sponsored the GRI in the formation of the Global Working Group to develop this ‘sector supplement’. Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Dow Jones Sustainability Index Logo 

We were the first Australian property company to be included on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI) in 2001. The DJSI lists the top 10 percent of the 2,500 biggest companies worldwide on the basis of long term economic, environmental and social criteria. It is a benchmark for topics including corporate governance, innovation management, resource efficiency, product stewardship, and human rights. We have been listed on the DJSI for 15 years.

GLOBAL REAL ESTATE SUSTAINABILITY BENCHMARK (GRESB)

We were recognised as a GRESB sector leader in 2014, 2015 and 2017. The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is a sustainability benchmarking tool for the investment sector, with increased focus from superannuation funds and institutional investors on fund participation in the annual survey and the benchmarking scores achieved.

Reports and Submissions

As a listed Company, we must comply with the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) Listing Rules, which require us to provide a statement in our Annual Report disclosing the extent to which we have followed the ASX "Corporate Governance Council's Principles of Good Corporate Governance and Best Practice Recommendations".

To further demonstrate our commitment to sustainability, Lendlease prepares submissions for both the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the Carbon Disclosure Project.
