Project vision

Elephant Park is a new mixed-use development in South London located in the historic area of Elephant & Castle. Offering the convenience of living in Zone 1, and centred around a new park, the development unites creative independents, inventive local food traders, and high street gems alongside a spirit of fun and adventure. Elephant & Castle has always been a special part of London.

Mature trees and new, green, open spaces connected by tree-lined streets make this Central London's new green heart, and one of the capital's most exciting places to live, work or visit while building on Elephant & Castle’s rich heritage.

Project outcome

Elephant Park has delivered 2,303 apartments and 8,600 sqm of retail to date, with a further 222 apartments, 1000 sqm of office space and 400 sqm of retail space in development. Also in development are 424 apartments and 1,700 sqm of retail space at Park & Sayer.

The project is already more than half way through, with over 2,300 homes and 9,000sqm of retail complete, whilst the two acre park that sits at the centre of the development is now open and drawing crowds from across London.

Elephant Park will be net zero carbon in operation, with new homes aiming to be at least 35% more energy efficient than UK regulations require. In addition, our Future Homes at Elephant Park are among some of the first new-build homes in Zone 1 London to be accredited to the world-leading Passivhaus standard.

The project will deliver resilience through green infrastructure including the newly opened two-acre park and Elephant Springs, an urban oasis featuring fountains, waterfalls, and slides. Since construction commenced in 2013, 1,610 jobs have been created for local residents, with 912 of these going to people who were previously unemployed (as of March 2022). In addition, over 9,000 people have received construction skills training at the Southwark Construction Skills Centre, which was located at Elephant Park from 2016 to 2021.
