Project vision
Stratford Cross is an incredible neighbourhood at the heart of Stratford that brings the best of London together in one place. Stratford Cross combines the best of London's culture, entertainment, shops and restaurants with beautiful homes and globally recognised workplaces.
At the heart of a growing inclusive innovation community, Stratford Cross is attracting some of the best talent and positioned to tap into the growing science and tech corridor and East London jobs boom.
Stratford has been labelled one of the healthiest workplaces in London by the Centric Lab due to its quality of fresh air and low noise, making it an ideal place to spend time outdoors. There is a genuine sense of excitement around Stratford – of optimism and anticipation about the transformation that is happening and what is yet to come.
This energetic neighbourhood is rich with diversity, room to breathe, and everything at your fingertips - from a shopping destination to the East Bank art and cultural quarter, world leading education facilities including UCL and UAL, all set amongst the legacy of the Olympic facilities.
Project outcome
As of June 2022, Stratford Cross has delivered 97,000 sqm of office space, 333 apartments and 3,000 sqm of retail, with a further 32,000 sqm of office space and 2,000 sqm of retail space in progress. Future phases include another 109,000 sqm of office space, 350 apartments and 4,000 sqm of retail space.
In addition to low carbon emissions, high occupant wellbeing ratings and outstanding sustainability ratings, Stratford Cross is focused on empowering the local community to leverage employment and business opportunities generated by the development.
The development has provided 1,333 local jobs and delivered 301 apprenticeships, 36 of which are from the London borough of Newham (as of December 2021). Our partnership with Stratford’s Building Crafts College helps with training the construction industry’s future leaders through ongoing engagement with the college, its students, and staff.
The Pavilion’s green roof terraces contribute to Stratford Cross’s biodiversity with native plant species flourishing alongside nesting boxes for bats and birds.
