Project outcome
A typical photovoltaic project involves a system that has 265 kilowatts to one megawatt of power output. Based on each facility's energy needs and roof type, a unique photovoltaic module support system was engineered accordingly.
Projects:
- Wal-Mart - Palm Springs
- Wal-Mart - Beaumont
- Sam's Club - La Habra and Glendora
- FedEx Freight - Whittier and Fontana
- Palo Verde Community College - Blythe
- Colorado State University - Pueblo, Colorado
Photovoltaic systems can supply between 10-40 percent of a conventional facility's electrical needs, integrated with existing electrical and mechanical systems. Each of the BP Solar projects was completed in a three to six month timeframe. The overall program spanned for 18 months and involved a total of eight projects at the various locations.
