Lendlease was selected by joint venture partners, Urban R2 and Marquette Companies, for the construction of Catalyst Apartments, a new residential building located at 123 North Des Plaines in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood.

Project outcome

At 19 stories and 325,000 square feet, the Catalyst is comprised of 223 studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments featuring wood laminate flooring, granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, nine-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. The building also features a 78,969 square foot multi-story parking garage for 203 vehicles.

The Catalyst's amenities, located on the fourth and 19th floors, include a conference room, fitness facility, yoga room, party rooms, fireplace accent pieces, and an outdoor rooftop pool with gathering spaces, grilling stations and a zen garden. The building also features ground-floor retail.
