Lendlease was selected by Halsted Grace Ventures LLC, a joint venture between JDL Development and Harlem Irving Companies, to construct Halsted Flats, a new residential building in Chicago's Wrigleyville area.

Project outcome

At 15 stories and 394,295 square feet, Halsted Flats houses 278,295 square feet of residential space, including 269 units, common areas and amenities, on floors three through 15; 105,000 square feet of parking for 277 vehicles at the basement level through second floors; and 11,000 square feet of retail at the base level.

Amenities on the third floor include an outdoor terrace with pool and hot tub, an indoor party room complete with demonstration kitchen, a lounge, fitness center and management/sales office.

The building's facade is a combination of architectural concrete, window wall and masonry at the storefront level.

Halsted Flats achieved LEED-NC Certification.

Lendlease was selected to construct Halsted Flats based on a number of factors, including our existing relationship with JDL Development, Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and Sowlat, the structural engineer. As a team, the firms previously completed 1225 Old Town, a residential development very close in scope to this project.
