Lendlease performed general construction services for this new senior living project located in the heart of Buckhead.
The project consists of a new 25-story tower built adjacent to an existing 17-story facility. There are 142 independent living units, 60 skilled nursing units, and 16 assisted living units. In each of the customizable, independent living units there are granite counter tops in kitchens and baths.
The addition of the 25-story tower utilized a unique delivery process in many ways due to the length of the project and the logistics of working within and adjacent to the existing CCRC. However, the incredible success of the project was ultimately due to the unique team approach beginning in the design phase of the project.
The initial phase of the project was building the 48,000 square foot amenity deck on top of the existing parking deck which necessitated relocating parking to the new site via valet and detailed coordination within the project team. The final phase of the project began once the new Lenox tower was completed. The existing common areas and healthcare floors were then renovated, which required extensive planning and coordination to route residents around the construction to access the dining and healthcare areas. There were also detailed processes in place for unit turnover and move-in to insure the quality of the experience for new residents.
