Mount Sinai West Surgical Platform Upgrade

Mount Sinai West Surgical Platform Upgrade (Phases 1-5): A five-phase expansion to the surgical platform at Mount Sinai West Hospital. Phases 2-5 include construction of associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection services and structural reinforcement, including medical gas services, pre-action sprinkler system, MRI chiller and Level 6 electric closet.

Phase 1: Two new operating rooms with Cleansuite modular ceilings, associated OR support spaces including three new PACU bays, nurses station, teamwork room, clean room, dressing rooms, reception area, IT room and supporting infrastructure.

Phase 2: Two new operating rooms with a Cleansuite modular ceiling system at the existing surgical suite and new MRI suite with silicon/RF shielding at the existing ambulatory waiting in the west building. Additionally, this phase includes new surgeon's and nurse's lounge, offices and staff toilets at the west building bridge area.

Phase 3: 18 new prep rooms with DIRTT modular wall system, two nurse stations, utility rooms, storage rooms and medication/nourishment rooms at the existing Level 5 Winston south offices.

Phase 4: Four new operating rooms with a Cleansuite modular ceiling system at the existing prep area. Additionally, this phase expands the existing PACU space with 11 new PACU beds and new supply rooms, toilets and nourishment/medication rooms at the existing anesthesia office area.

Phase 5: Three new PACU beds, new men's and women's lockers, frozen section, pharmacy storage and medical supply storage.
