Lendlease performed construction management services for One Museum Mile, a residential development which houses The Museum for African Art. The Museum is dedicated to increasing public understanding and appreciation of African art and culture and is recognized worldwide as the organizer of exhibitions and publisher of books devoted exclusively to contemporary and historical African art.

Project outcome
This 19-story mixed use building provides a permanent home for the Museum and includes a high-end residential tower which rises above. There is a retail component on the ground floor and a 9,834 square foot below grade parking garage. The Museum for African Art occupies the first three floors; floors 4-19 consist of 102 residential units.
The facade is composed of precast with punched windows while the foundation is composed of pile and spread footings. Superstructure concrete is a cast in place flat plate construction. There is also a Hydrotech roofing system with pavers at terraces and roof top.
The residential building features include HVAC, a fire sprinkler system, dewatering and basement work. Interior finishes include wood floors and granite countertops. Bathrooms/powder rooms consist of marble or stone. All units have high-end kitchen appliances as well.
One Museum Mile received a LEED-NC Certified rating.
