Water Street District
Lendlease was selected by Water Street Property Owner, LLC/Marquette Companies to provide construction management services for Water Street District, a mixed-use development in suburban Naperville, Illinois.
Project outcome
Located at the southern end of downtown Naperville's energetic core, Water Street District's master plan was developed to deliver an open, pedestrian friendly retail and restaurant destination that incorporates much needed parking and hotel space along the DuPage River, the Crown Jewel of Naperville. Water Street Property Owner, LLC/Marquette Companies and Lendlease worked with the City of Naperville to develop the necessary infrastructure to meet both the community's need for parking and open space, along with a mixed-use private development that draws people into the District. This vibrant new addition to downtown Naperville further enhances the neighborhood's classic charm by including:
- A City of Naperville-owned five and a half story, 184,000 square foot precast parking structure for 520 vehicles
- A Hotel Indigo which spans across two five-story buildings connected by an elevated pedestrian walkway over Water Street. The boutique hotel consists of 158-rooms and connects to the Loggia which features ground floor restaurant space, an in-hotel café, second floor banquet facility with meeting rooms and a fifth floor rooftop restaurant overlooking the DuPage River.
- A four-story mixed-use office building featuring 9,700 square feet of restaurant space on the first floor, and core/shell office space on floors two through four.
