The Diversity Equity & Inclusion Council (DEIC) brings together senior leaders in our business to connect and strengthen their understanding of the diverse nature of the people in our workplace. Members of the Council support the business to embed inclusion in their areas of responsibility, being active and prominent advocates of inclusive practices and leadership.

Workplace Gender Equality Agency
Lendlease has been awarded an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) citation by six times by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency. This recognises our commitment and best practice in promoting gender equality in Australian workplaces and we remain proud in our commitment to gender equity. It takes diligence and an ongoing focus to get this right including when we hire, promote and even when they leave us.
Diversity Council Australia
Lendlease is a corporate member of the Diversity Council of Australia (DCA), an independent, not-for-profit workplace diversity advisor to business in Australia. Our membership provides access to leading research and regular events held by DCA.

Pride in Diversity
Lendlease is a founding member of Pride in Diversity (PiD), the national not-for-profit employer support national not-for-profit employer support program for LGBTQ workplace inclusion specialising in HR, organisational change and workplace diversity. Pride in Diversity publishes the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), Australia’s national benchmarking instrument for LGBTQ workplace inclusion from which Top Employers for LGBTQ people is determined.
Lendlease is proud of the recognised achievements by AWEI since 2011. This has included being the first Australian construction company to be awarded a Platinum Employer of Choice for LGBTI Inclusion the highest level of recognition.

Parents At Work Parentsandcarersatwork.com is a membership-based organisation providing Employee Benefits in the form of work + family education and policy advisory services. Together we have built our Families at Work portal for all our parents and cares at Lendlease.

Lendlease partner with Australian Business Community Network (ABCN), a purpose-led not-for-profit organisation that brings businesses and schools together to address educational disadvantage. ABCN programs are designed to contribute to the personal and professional development of our employees who volunteer their time to mentor as well as impacting positively on the lives of the young people involved.

Through advocacy, research, targeted programs and scholarships, CEW helps to remove the barriers to women’s progression in workplaces across Australia to ensure equal opportunity for prosperity and to achieve gender balance.
Minderoo Indigenous Employment Index
We’re committed to change. We support the Minderoo Foundation’s study which is the first time Australia’s largest employers (including Lendlease) have provided a snapshot of First Nations employment. The report’s findings practices to increase and improve First Nations employment nationally.
Our most recent RAP makes these commitments to improve employment outcomes by increasing First Nations recruitment, retention, and professional development. There is still work to be done to improve progression while creating inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. It’s a strong it’s a strong reminder about the incremental, industry change needed.
